Staffordshire Police have been outlining their new three-year plan.

Despite current Chief Constable Chris Sims soon to leave his post to take up a new role with West Midlands Police, the force is pushing ahead with plans which they claim will “put the citizen at the heart” of all they do.

As part of the three-year strategy, Staffordshire Police are aiming to ensure at least 85 per cent of crime and anti-social behaviour victims are happy with the service provided by the force.

Police Authority Chair Mike Poulter said:

“Our three-year strategy re-affirms the joint commitment of the force and Police Authority to put the citizen at the heart of all that we do. We will continue the course started by Chief Constable Chris Sims and wish him every success as he prepares to move to West Midlands Police.

“Mr Sims’ successor will need to have the skills and capacity to develop our trust and confidence mission to ensure that Staffordshire Police is the force that inspires the greatest levels of trust and confidence amongst the communities it serves.”

The full three year strategy can be viewed on the Staffordshire Police website.
