Lichfield golfers are being urged to tee up in aid of charity.

The Chairman of Lichfield District Council, Councillor John Wilks, is calling on golfers to join him at St Thomas’ Priory Golf Club on April 24, to raise money for St Giles Hospice and Midlands Air Ambulance.

A breakfast bap and coffee will ease players in to the event, which will be followed by 18 holes. Then the day will end in style with a wonderful two-course dinner at the Golf Club Dining Room.

Councillor Wilks said:

“If you enjoy a round of golf, this is a great chance for you to take part in a competition, while raising money for two worthwhile causes. There are some excellent prizes to be won – including a top prize of a £320 voucher to spend on a round of golf for four at Little Aston Golf Club. So, sign up and join us at what is sure to be a great day.”

Teams will be made up of four players, but if you do not have a team you can join one on the day. The whole event costs £45 per player, which includes dinner. For an entry form, please contact Irene Kemp on 01543 308003.
