Young singers in are being urged to get in tune with Lichfield Cathedral Choir.

The open day – on May 9 at Lichfield Cathedral School – will give children the chance to experience singing with others, explore the cathedral and find out what life at a cathedral school is like

Lichfield Cathedral Choir includes boys aged seven to 13 and is widely recognised as on of the finest in the country. The choir regularly makes frequent TV and radio appearances and has toured Belgium, Germany, Holland, America and France in recent years.

There will also be the chance to hear all about life in the Lichfield Cathedral School Girls’ Choir – for girls aged ten to 15 – which was launched in 2006 and is already in demand following a tour of Dublin.

As well as learning about life in the choirs, the day will also include games and activities, tours of Lichfield Cathedral and a chace to sing with the Cathedral Choir at Choral Evensong.
