Slam poetry comes to Lichfield’s Fuse Festival

Lichfieldians have been given the chance to learn all about Slam Poetry at workshops put together as part of Fuse Festival’s Outreach Project.

Slam poetry is a lively form of performance poetry. The workshops will include rap and beatbox sessions and will culminate in inter-school and community ‘poetry slams’ at Fuse on Sunday 12th July which will include the audience, too! The workshops, run by London based rap artist BREIS (Pronounced Breeze), will be held at Chadsmead Junior School but are open to all members of the public, so if you fancy having a bash at some poetic beat-boxing, head down.

The workshops start at 6:30pm till 8:30pm and run for the next three Thursdays. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
