Award winning comedian, Jeremy Hardy will perform at the Lichfield Garrick Theatre as part of Lichfield Festival on July 16.

Jeremy will replace Seth Lakeman who had to pull out because of unforseen family commitments. Being one of the country’s sharpest comedians, Jeremy appears on Radio 4’s News Quiz as well as I’m Sorry, I Haven’t a Clue and Just a Minute. He also writes and performs a show of his own, called Jeremy Hardy Speaks to the Nation.

He is a former winner of the Best Live Performer at the British Comedy Awards and the prestigious Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Fringe. Not something comedy lovers will want to miss out on then!

Festival Director Richard Hawley said:

“Jeremy Hardy rarely performs in the West Midlands these days, and I’m delighted to welcome him to Lichfield at such short notice.

“I have been inviting Jeremy to Lichfield every year since I started here, and this is the first time that his diary and the Festival’s schedule have aligned, albeit at very short notice.

“This will be Jeremy’s first visit to Lichfield since performing as part of the opening of the Lichfield Garrick Theatre in 2003. It sold out then. I imagine it will sell out again. Don’t forget that students can get in to any festival event for £5 on the door subject to availability.”

If you want to catch Jeremy Hardy, tickets are available from the Lichfield Garrick, by phone on 01543 412 121 or on the Lichfield Festival web site.
