Workers can enjoy their lunch even more at a Lichfield company after their staff cafe scored a maximum five stars in a hygiene inspection.

The Central Midlands Co-op Society’s Hermes Lane site was a hit with inspectors from Lichfield District Council.

The report, published on RateMyPlace, revealed that the company received an “excellent” rating

Lichfield District Council’s inspector also added:

“I was pleased to note that the standards currently being achieved are well above average for this type of business. You are to be congratulated and I trust these high standards will be maintained.”

The verdict of the inspectors has delighted bosses at Central Midlands Co-op Society.

A spokesperson said:

“We are delighted that the staff restaurant at our Hermes Road offices, which is used by over 350 colleagues and visitors, has been given such a glowing report by Lichfield District Council, following their recent inspection. We maintain the same high standards for facilities used by our staff as we do for those used by our customers and will continue to do so.”
