Artists line up for Lichfield’s Fuse Festival ’09

FuseLichfield’s Fuse Festival kicks off it’s fourth year tonight with a host of entertainment throughout the weekend. Here’s a run down of what to expect.

In the music tent, at 7:30pm Black Country rock/indie/grunge/country stomp group Loungetree kick things off. Then, at 9:15pm good time jazz and blues band The Big Easy take to the stage.

Things in the workshop & performance tent start at 8pm with anyone invited along to take an instrument and join in with the set list. At 9pm, Fresh Ground will take over with their “imaginative smut and intellectual terrorism” and then The Lichfield Poets will be performing some of their masterpieces. Fresh Ground will be back at 9:45pm before another join-in session at 10pm.

In the Acoustic tent, from 6-10pm there will be live music from The Full Act, Dean James, The Maffa Kings, Little Dipper, Turner, Out in the Crowd, The Low Orders, Jo Rafferty, Jake Morgan and meberob.

Plus, if the weather’s good, FuseZirque! will be performing all sorts of amazing circus skills!

Also, as a special treat for those who can’t make it, we’ll be live-tweeting Fuse Festival from @LichfieldLive – follow us for what’s going on, occassional pictures and if you’re lucky, a bit of live video-streaming from the Acoustic tent.
