Lichfield Leisure Leagues football round-up

Gash Wanderers kept their slim title hopes alive in the Lichfield Sunday Leisure Leagues Premier Division as they romped home to an 8-0 rout of Hexis FC Legends.

However, The Galacticos, who only need a point from either of their final two games to take the title, were held to a 1-1 draw by Slap A Dingle.

Catalans are nicely placed in third spot of Division One, three points shy of the summit, after a 2-1 victory over Hexis FC Marvels, but their opponents should have enough points on the board to claim the title victory.

Boley Park Academy are closing in on the runners-up berth in the Monday Premier Division following a 3-2 victory over Colin Lee’s Adopted Sons, plunging their rivals into relegation trouble, whilst England Youth’s 2-0 win over Hats Off sees them throw their hat into the ring also.

Banana Grove are anxious to secure promotion from Division One after they beat Renegade Raiders by the same scoreline, whilst Plough And Harrow FC continued their charge towards the title as they also put two past Dad’s Army without reply.

Liquid Football began the new Tuesday season where they left last, with some flowing passing, to ensure a tight 1-0 victory against Friary Boys.

However it is Smashups FC who made the most impressive start, putting four past KB Rejects with no reply to go top at this early stage.

There was another tight affair as Wilmot Dairies FC squeezed past Guinness All Blacks, 1-0, and it was an entertaining face off between K.E.D and Sporting, who shared the points in a 3-3 draw.
