Former Midland Alliance rivals Quorn next up for Chasetown FC

Chasetown FC will look to return to winning ways when they face old Midland Alliance rivals Quorn.

Charlie Blakemore’s men were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw in midweek against Shepshed Dynamo after starting the season with a 1-0 victory at Lincoln United.

The Scholars will be without the services of striker Dean Perrow who faces months on the sidelines after suffering a ruptured achilles on the opening day.

Quorn meanwhile will be looking to kickstart their own season on Saturday after taking just one point from their opening two fixtures. They opened up with a 1-1 draw against Kidsgrove Athletic, before losing out 1-0 at Carlton Town.

But there’s no doubting they’ll offer a stern test to Blakemore’s men with the likes of former Leicester City defender Phil Gilchrist in their ranks.

Chasetown’s game with Quorn kicks off at 3pm tomorrow (August 22) at the Scholars Ground.
