Chasetown FC have been warned to expect a tough test ahead of their clash against Sheffield FC.

The Scholars travel to their unbeaten rivals in this evening’s Unibond League Division One South clash with manager Charlie Blakemore knowing that his own side’s good start to the season will face a thorough examination.

Chasetown go into the game on the back of a confidence boosting 6-2 win against Quorn.

But the Scholars boss knows his side will be given a grilling by tonight’s hosts.

Blakemore told The Lichfield Blog:

“We know it’s going to be a really difficult game. We’ve had Sheffield watched and we know that they’re a strong, physical outfit.”

Chasetown will again be without long-term absentee Dean Perrow, but Blakemore also faces other injury problems ahead of this evening’s encounter with the possibility that two of the goalscorers from the Quorn win could be ruled out.

The Scholars boss explained:

“Ross Miller is looking at about a fortnight out with an ankle ligament problem and Harry Harris also took a knock so we’ll have to have a look at him before the game.”

The game against Sheffield FC kicks off at 7.45pm.
