Chance for PC users to recreate Lichfield rail journeys

A service at Lichfield City Station on Train Simulator

A service at Lichfield City Station on Train Simulator

Railway fans will be able to relive journeys on the cross-city line through Lichfield thanks to a new add-on to a popular PC train simulation software.

The add-on for the Train Simulator programme has been created by Simon Poole on the UKTrainSim website and recreates two services operated by Central Trains prior to the switchover to London Midland.

Users will be able to take control of two services on the cross-city line:

  •  0756 Service from Birmingham New Street to Lichfield City only calling at Sutton Coldfield and Four Oaks
  • 0815 Semi Fast service from Four Oaks to Birmingham New Street,
calling at all stations apart from Gravely Hill, Aston and Duddeston

To find out more about the downloadable add-on and the system requirements, visit the UKTrainSim website.

I must add that people should get to grips with the 0756 service first.
Even though the 0815 service is called the ‘semi fast’ it is easier to complete as there are less stops to contend with.

Im looking forward to the completion of the trent valley/hollyhead line simulation – i’d hate for my imaginary passengers to miss thier imaginary ferry.
