Lichfield Library will be visited by a special guest as part of the National Day of Poetry event.

Roz Goddard will be at Lichfield Library tomorrow (October 8th) from 11am to 12noon where she will be talking about her work and read her poetry.

In the afternoon from 2pm to 3pm the Lichfield Readers Group will be discussing poetry and will be joined by Lichfield Poetry Writers Group.

County Councillor Ben Adams, Lead Cabinet Member for Communities and Culture, said:

“National Poetry Day is always celebrated by Staffordshire Libraries. This year it has a higher profile as it has been supported by the BBC’s Poetry Season. The nation’s favourite poet will be revealed on October 8 and it will be fascinating to discover who it is.”
