Chasetown FC bring Joe Williams back on short-term loan deal

Former Chasetown FC defender Joe Williams has returned to the Scholars Ground on loan.

A stalwart of the 2008/09 side, Williams has rejoined the club on a two-week deal as cover for short-term absences.

The defender left Chasetown for Stourbridge in the summer, but he will be back in Charlie Blakemore’s plans for Saturday’s visit to Cammell Laird.

Manager Blakemore said:

“We have brought Joe in for a two-week loan spell as Vaughan Thomas will be away for two weeks as he is due to attend his brother’s wedding, while Richard Teesdale has bruised ankle ligaments and Chris Slater still has his knee problems.”

A Chasetown spokesman added:

“The club would like to thank Stourbridge manager Gary Hackett for his help and co-operation in completing the deal.”
