Lichfield City FC make two new signings

Lichfield City FC have strengthened their side ahead of their clash with Henley Forest FC.

Manager Dean Gilbert is continuing to revamp his squad, with Dosthill FC’s Simon Deeley and Shenstone Pathfinder FC’s Chris Walton the latest arrivals.

And the new faces may not end there as the Lichfield boss explained:

“Simon Deeley has played for me before and will be a welcome addition to the squad, as will Chris Walton. brought in simon deeley from dosthill fc hes played for me before and hes a welcome addition to the squad. We’re also hoping to speak to another player from Bilston Town.”

An achilles injury to Matt Collins is one of the reasons Gilbert has moved to bolster his squad ahead of the clash with Henley on Saturday (October 10).

And the Lichfield boss knows his side must reproduce the form that saw them give West Midlands Police a scare last weekend if they are to pick up the points.

Gilbert said:

“Henley are a good side who won promotion with us last season. The honours were even in the league with us both winning our home games last year, but Henley put us out of our league cup semi-final on penalties so it should be a good game.”
