Lichfield and Burntwood residents are being urged to take part in a winter raffle in aid of St Giles Hospice.

The Countdown to Summer Raffle recently gave out more than £13,000 in prizes to 300 lucky winners across the region and The Magical Winter Raffle is now offering people the chance to be a lucky winner.

By taking part you will not only have a chance of winning but will also help St Giles Hospice provide specialist care to local people living with cancer and other serious illnesses.

Richard Simmonite, Commercial Manager of St Giles Hospice Lottery said:

“Our Summer Raffle raised over £50,000 and we hope the Magical Winter Raffle will be even more successful, providing vital funds to support the future work of the hospice.

“The Magical Winter Raffle is a wonderful way to lift spirits and we are encouraging everyone to include tickets on their Christmas shopping lists for friends and family. They will also make a great Secret Santa gift for work.

“By purchasing this special gift you will be supporting the hospice and may also find you have given someone you know an amazing jackpot present!”

The Magical Winter Raffle will be drawn on January 7 2010 when another 300 lucky winners will receive prizes ranging from £5 up to the £5,000 jackpot.

Raffle tickets cost £1 each and can be purchased now from any of the St Giles Hospice Shops, from the Whittington and Sutton Hospice receptions, by calling 0845 370 6580 or they can be requested online at www.stgileshospice.com/lottery.
