Community project organisers across Lichfield are being invited to apply for a slice of the proceeds from this year’s production by Shakespeare in the Park.

Each year the company shares some of its profits with local organisations and many have benefitted from their generosity over the years.

Interested parties are now being invited to apply for a donation from SITP’s outstanding production of Macbeth.

Chairman Steve Baker said:

“We are particularly keen to receive requests from local charities planning project-based activities, perhaps involving the community.

“The donations are traditionally distributed before the matinee performance of our next production. This will be The Taming of the Shrew, performed from June 16-19, 2010, directed by Dan Branch.”

Recipients this year included Lichfield Mysteries, All Saints Church, Alrewas, Parish church of St John, Wall, Pathway, Embroidery for Burntwood, RNLI and Lichfield Free Proms in the Park.

Groups interested in applying for a donation should either email [email protected] with details of their project or telephone Steve Baker on 01543 254808.
