The chairmen of Lichfield District and Burntwood Town Council have paid a flying visit to the Midland Air Ambulance base.

Cllr Joseph Powell, Chairman of Lichfield District Council, and Cllr Ken Humphreys, Chairman of Burntwood Town Council, visited Tatenhill Airfield in Needwood near Yoxall where the ambulance is based on November 16.

Cllr Humphreys said:

“We were shown all the facilities, the new hanger, and the soon to be completed concrete pad. I was very impressed. These guys do a superb job and are an essential part of the nation’s emergency services. They are totally financed by charity, and welcome all donations, so please do give what you can.”

Cllr Powell added:

“It has been fascinating to see behind the scenes at Midland Air Ambulance. They are a committed team who work tirelessly to save lives and I feel safer knowing they are on hand to help.”
