Lichfield-based Ansons Solicitors has recruited a new trainee solicitor.

Gemma Eldon joins Ansons Solicitors on a two-year training contract following completing a business degree at Nottingham Trent University and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York.

Ansons Solicitors provides a full range of legal services to businesses and individuals and Gemma will have two years to decide which area she wants to specialise in.

Gemma said:

“After completing my studies I knew that I wanted to combine my business degree knowledge with my interest in the law.  I recognise Ansons Solicitors to be one of the leading commercial law firms within the region and therefore the ideal choice for me.”

Gemma will gain experience working with the specialist departments in Ansons Solicitors, including Commercial Property, Corporate & Commercial law, Dispute Resolution, Employment, Wills & Probate, Family and Personal Injury.

Corporate partner, Hilary D’Cruz added:

“The recruitment of Gemma in this tough economic climate bears testimony to our commitment to becoming the best law firm within the region as we recognise that trainee solicitors play an important part in our future.

“Our positive reputation, quick growth and attainment of awards, such as Investors in People, would not have been achievable without our deeply held commitment to training and development.”
