A Christmas carol service with a difference will take place near Lichfield.

St Stephen’s Church’s Carols by Candlelight will – weather permitting – be on the move this year.

On December 23 the carol singing will start in Barlow Drive at 6pm, then at 6.30 pm the parade will move down to the Christmas tree by the RAF Lichfield Memorial and arrive about 6.45pm.

Residents are invited to come along with lanterns or torches and afterwards mulled wine and mince pies will be served in the church.

On Christmas Eve there will be a Waiting for Jesus service, followed at 11.30pm by a Midnight Communion.

On Christmas Day an All Age Worship, including Communion, will be held at 10.30am.
