The King of Tonga is set to visit the National Memorial Arboretum near Lichfield.

King George Tupou V will be the first overseas head of state to visit the Arboretum at Alrewas when he makes his visit in 2010.

According to the BBC, the National Memorial Arboretum are hoping that the King will back their £8million expansion plans for the 150-acre site.

He studied at the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst before taking the throne of the Commonwealth nation in 2006.
