Police appeal for information after spate of car crimes near Lichfield

Police are appealing for information after a series of car crimes near Lichfield.

A car was stolen from Longdon and several others broken into in the early hours of December 27.

The blue VW Golf, registration number VN06 BMO, was taken from Brook End, from outside a house where the offenders also broke into a VW Touareg.

Another VW Golf was broken into outside a different address in Brook End, and an iPhone taken from it. A satnav was stolen from a Land Rover Discovery on the same drive.

At a third address in Brook End, a gym bag and a briefcase were stolen from a Vauxhall Astra, a fuel card and a Christmas present were taken from a Land Rover Discovery, and some alcohol and soft drinks from the garage.

An iPod was taken from a Peugeot 307 in Batesway, Longdon, from which the offenders also tried to steal the CD player.

A pair of sunglasses was stolen from a Freelander outside a house in Lower Way, Upper Longdon.
