Start stitching the tartan onto your flares because Bay City Rollers legend Les McKeown is set to take to the stage in Lichfield.

He’ll be reliving the 1970’s with an evening of songs, teenage memories and stories packed with nostalgia.

Rollermania includes some of the songs that influenced him, while Les also recollects first hand about those heady, crazy days of pop superstardom.

The show is topped off with the big hits of the Bay City Rollers including Shang A Lang, Summer Love Sensation, Remember, All Of Me Loves All Of You and the biggest selling song of 1975 Bye Bye Baby.

With over 300 million albums sold worldwide, Les was the original voice on every Bay City Rollers hit song. He had five years of unprecedented success dominating the pop music charts across the globe.

Rollermania will be at the Lichfield Garrick on February 6 at 7.30pm.

To book tickets call the Lichfield Garrick box office on 01543 412121, or book online at www.lichfieldgarrick.com.

I reckon this is one of the better things to go on at the Garrick myself. The appeal is to an older crowd than me (Bay City Rollers were number one when I was born, at least that’s what facebook told me this week) but it’s got a wider potential audience than some of the more, well other things that are on there, lets just say that.
