Fradley Players are currently putting the final touches to their latest family pantomime – a brand new version of Puss in Boots.

Written by Brian Asbury and directed by Mary Bennett, it promises to be ‘the cat’s whiskers’!

The traditional tale of a crafty talking cat with a lovestruck master offers lots of opportunities for jokes, audience participation and song and dance routines. Amongst a range of memorable characters are a cash-strapped Queen, her slightly dense daughter and their useless advisors, an Ogre with a monstrous appetite, a non-hunchbacked sidekick called Igor (or is it Eye-gor?) and a fairy whose grasp of grammar leaves much to be desired.

Puss will be pulling on his boots at Fradley Village Hall at 7.30pm from Thursday, February 11 to Saturday February 13, with an additional matinee performance at 2.30 pm on the Saturday.

Tickets are available from Fradley Post Office and cost £6 for adults, £4 for children. For further information, contact Mary Bennett on 01283 790219.
