Appeal for information after tyres are dumped in Alrewas

tyresCouncil officials have admitted they are concerned about the number of used tyres that are being dumped near Lichfield.

More than 120 tyres have so far been removed from the side of lanes and roads in Alrewas.

And now Lichfield District Council are appealing for residents to help them catch those responsible.

Councillor Louise Flowith, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Operational Services, said:

“Removing illegally dumped rubbish from across the district is time consuming and costly for the council, and ultimately for our residents. This is why we are calling on local people to help us catch the culprits. To report anyone you see fly-tipping, please take down the name of the road, the type of vehicle and, if possible, the number plate and a description of the person dumping the rubbish.”
