A team from the new High Street Dental Practice, based at 267 High Street, Burntwood, joined South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) to set up stall in Morrisons as part of the Why go miles for your smiles? campaign.

Staff distributed goody bags packed full of information about available dentists and general advice on oral hygiene.

Jim Barlow, Head of Primary Care for South Staffordshire PCT said:

“In the Burntwood area we currently have two dentists taking on new patients immediately. Regular dental visits are very important in order to ensure healthy teeth and gums, but they are also vital for the early detection of the various types of problems that can occur.

“It is important that people don’t wait until they get toothache before going to a dentist when they can visit a local NHS dentist to get a check-up and avoid unwanted pain and discomfort.”

Cheryl Weightman, Project Manager, VIPS Dental, said:

“We are really pleased to offer people in the Burntwood area more choice of NHS dental care. High Street Dental Practice opens on February 15 and we welcome people to contact us to book an appointment by calling 07905 629024.”
