Dean Gilbert wants his Lichfield City FC troops to put the disappointment of last weekend’s cup defeat behind them as they go in search of more silverware.

City bowed out of the Staffordshire FA Challenge Cup at the semi final stage last week and are in Jack Mould Trophy quarter final action tomorrow as they travel to Kenilworth Town KH.

He said:

“There’s going to be no let up from my lads now. I expect them to play every game like it’s their last because teams are going to come at us harder than before.

“We are the inform side and are unbeaten in our last five games, scoring 21 goals along the way, and with a record like that people sit up and notice.

“We got to the final of the Jack Mould Trophy last season and Kenilworth will be going all out to make sure that we don’t get there again.

“We beat them 6-0 t a few weeks ago and they will be looking to avenge that defeat.”
