Police release CCTV image of man wanted in connection with Lichfield assault

Lichfield-assault-2-14-2-10169Police in Lichfield are hoping a CCTV image will help them track down three men who assaulted and robbed a man in the city.

The image shows a man police want to interview in connection with the assault which happened at around 3.30am on February 14.

The victim suffered slight injuries as he was pushed to the ground and had his mobile telephone stolen as he walked near the now closed Frog Lane multi-storey car park. The offender is possibly Polish or Eastern European.

Detectives are appealing for the man captured in the CCTV image to come forward so they can eliminate him from their enquiries.

Detective Constable Tony Johnson of Trent Valley CID said:

“We are keen to trace this man to see if he has any information about the incident and would urge him to come forward.”
