People are being invited to play their part in Shakespeare in the Park in Lichfield.

The event takes place in the grounds of Maple Hayes Hall, which is transformed each year into an outdoor arena where people watch outstanding performances by a group of friendly folk who love entertaining.

For anyone who would like to be a part of this year’s production – The Taming of the Shrew – the company is staging an open meeting where people can find out more.

Director Dan Branch will outline his ideas for the production on March 21 at the George Hotel, Bird Street, Lichfield, at 10.30am.

Anyone who is interested in being on stage or helping back stage will be made very welcome at the meeting.
