Real ale fans in Lichfield are set for a treat when the city’s Winter Beer and Wine Festival takes place.

The event is at the Guildhall on April 9 and 10 and will see more than 35 beers available from breweries in Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Cheshire. There will also be traditional ciders and more than 20 wines from across the globe.

There will also be music on offer from Lichfield favourite Kent Duchaine and folk duo No Fixed Abode.

Lichfield Arts Director Brian Pretty said:

“This is excellent news – the festival is enjoyed by all members of the community but also attracts visitors from all parts of the country.”

The festival is open from noon until 11pm each day. Entry is £1 up to 5.30pm and £3.50 after 5.30pm on the Friday and £3 after 5.30pm on the Saturday.
