Burton Albion Ladies 1 Chasetown Ladies 9

Chasetown showed great grit and determination in carving out this convincing win against a courageous Burton Albion side.

Ten minutes into the game a superb solo run resulted in the first goal for Chasetown from Charlotte Bull.

The opener was followed a few minutes later with a second from Bull after an inch perfect pass from Lyndsey Turner.

Sinead Treanor scored the first of her five goals from the resulting kick off following a steal from captain Sarah Thompson.

Two more excellent goals from Treanor made the score 5-0 at half time.

Burton came out fighting in the second half but great defensive play from the whole Scholars team, particularly keeper Becky Troth kept them out.

Fifteen minutes into the second half, player of the match Turner made it six after a beautifully taken individual goal.
It was soon followed by a seventh after a cheeky back-flick from Jodie Edwards.

Plucky Burton pulled one back from a beautifully struck free kick, but two more goals from the league top scorer Treanor sealed the win for Chasetown.
