Burntwood RUFC U14 7 Barkers Butts RUFC U14 48

Having run up 50 points a week earlier away from home, Burntwood RUFC U14 found out what it was like to be on the receiving end when they hosted a talented Barkers Butts side at The Sportsway.

The visitors took a fifth minute lead and went on to dominate the game, winning 48-7.

Well-timed passing and support play repeatedly exposed the home defence wide out and the visitors went 27 points up at the interval.

The only reply came after the break from Ben Tranter who scored in typical style, using his pace to round the opposition to the posts. Rory Newall converted.

On Sunday (April 25) the U16s host Tamworth, the U13s are at Eccleshall and the U12s, U11s and U10s all face Telford away.

Over the May Day Bank Holiday the U12s, U13s and U14s all take part in the Abergavenny RFC tournament based at the Usk Showground.
