Rocky blues will be the order of the day when King King featuring Alan Nimmo make their Lichfield Guildhall debut.

Formed just a year ago, they are already sending ripples through the British blues scene and will be giving audiences in the city a taste of what they’re about when they visit on May 8.

Fronted by the charismatic Nimmo, the rest of this gifted band are Lindsay Coulson on bass guitar, Craig Blundell on drums and keyboard player Bennett Holland.

They draw their inspirations from BB King and Albert Collins and the contemporary blues of Joe Bonamassa and John Mayer add to this their own unique musicianship.

Lichfield Arts Director Brian Pretty said:

“This band are causing a storm on the British Blues scene, giving it a much needed impetus and they  have been booked  to appear at all the major blues festivals this year. This will be a real treat for local blues lovers.”

The concert on May 8 starts at 8pm and tickets are available by calling 01543 262223 or visiting www.lichfieldarts.org.uk.
