A Lichfield firefighter is among those battling it out for a top award.
The final of Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service’s MORE Staff Awards takes place tomorrow (April 30th) in Stoke-on-Trent.
In the running for an award is Lichfield’s Area Commander, Phil McFarlane, who is a finalist in the Contribution to the Leadership Message award. This award is presented to the individual who has shown continual commitment to the Service’s Leadership Message, by being an inspirational role model and by motivating the team.
Burntwood-based Dave Jones and Sons have also been nominated in the Partner of Choice category in recognition of their involvement in a Heavy Rescue Partnership in which they assist firefighters at road traffic collision involving large goods vehicles.
Chief Fire Officer/Chief Executive Peter Dartford said:
