The Lichfield Festival has been forced to amend one of the performances on its schedule.

Due to a family bereavement Royal College Of Music student Poom Prommachart is no longer able to perform on July 14.

But stepping in is another hugely talented pianist from the Royal College of Music, Aliaksandr Muzykantau from Belarus.

Aliaksandr is the winner of the Third International Piano Competition in memory of Emil Gilels (Ukraine 2006) and International  Jeunesses musicales competition in Belgrade (Serbia 2009).

Since 2007 he has been a soloist of the Belarusian State Philharmonic, and he is very busy playing in Belarus, Great Britain and other countries.

For his Lichfield concert at St Chad’s Church at 12 noon, he will play works by Haydn, Chopin, Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky.

To book tickets for Aliaksandr’s concert go to www.lichfieldfestival.org.
