Proms in the Park crowd 4The organisers of the free Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park event are giving people the chance to get an even better view of the performances.

Concert-goers can get the best seat in town in the VIP section from £40 for a table of four in front of the stage.

There will also be the chance for people to see a special greeting shown on the big screens for £10, while residents and businesses can also sponsor a song or piece of music which will be dedicated to them on the night.

Beth Osman, Heritage Parks Manager, said:

“If you want to enjoy the event of the summer in style, then VIP tables are a fantastic way to make the evening special for all your family and friends and from just £40 for a table of four, it is fantastic price. To book any of our offers, call 01543 308866, or email [email protected].”

This year, the show will be compered by Lichfield Town Crier Ken Knowles and local thespian Craig Allen.

The free concert will feature the 65-piece British Police Symphony Orchestra with guest conductor Matthew Taylor. Local singers Joanne Mayling, Paul Roberts and voices-in-harmony group Bella Musica! will join the orchestra on stage to perform a number of songs.

A spokesperson for the event added:

“The fantastic line-up has something for everybody with a variety of classical music and show tunes – from The Planets and You’ll Never Walk Alone through to Rule Britannia and Jerusalem.

“Food and drink will be available to buy on site, including a hog roast and wine tent, but to ensure everyone can enjoy the event in safety, barbecues are not permitted.”

Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park takes place on September 4.

We have been coming to Lichfield Proms for many years and have had some wonderful evenings. We all join in the singing and flag waving. Each year we bring a few more Friends and Family members to enjoy it.

WELL DONE, ITS A NIGHT NOT TO MISS.
