Children in Lichfield have been learning skateboarding tricks at a coaching week in the city.

Sixteen youngsters aged seven to 13 took part in the workshop at at Friary Grange Leisure Centre as part of Lichfield District Council’s Wheely GR8 week, which saw skateboarding and cycling events take place across the area.

Jane Van-Cook, the council’s playranger supervisor, said:

“We had a brilliant week on the skateboards. The boys and girls were fast learners and got to grips with some difficult tricks. It was also a good opportunity to make new friends and keep active during the summer holidays.”
