Burntwood residents are being offered the chance to get advice from their local Labour councillors at an advice surgery in the town.

Summerfield and Chasetown Ward representatives Steve Taylor, Keith Willis-Croft, Don Isaacs and Steve Norman will be joined by their Town Council colleagues, Bernard Brown and Rod Campbell for the event tomorrow (July 15).

The surgery will take place the Old Mining College in Queen Street, Chasetown, from 4.30pm to 5.30pm.

The councillors also hold surgeries in the library at Sankey’s Corner on the first Saturday of the month.

See Labour are blaming the riots on the Tory Government and taking the moral high ground. Well, let me remind you about the Dimbles and what happened to Michael Eccles. I hear of no go zones and gangs of young thugs roaming these estates.
The problem has been left to fester and these riots are the result. I ‘m not a great Thatcher fan but I felt safer walking round Lichfield in those days.
Maybe if so many local jobs hadn’t gone to ‘overseas’ workers they’d wouldn’t have so much time on their hands.
