Stock car racer James Tucker is celebrating after moving up the gradings.
After a series of strong showings, championship organisers have moved the Burntwood driver into the blue class.
The switch will mean tougher racing conditions, but Tucker is relishing the challenge.
“I will be starting the races further back, behind all the drivers I was previously starting with,” he explained on his blog.
“Talking to the boys around the pits, they reckon it’s the hardest place to start, with the red grade drivers on you right at the start of the race and trying to drive through you.
“So it should be a good test for me for the remaining three races at Northampton on October 16, Birmingham on October 29 and Wimbledon on November 13.”
