County councillor up for national award

County councillor Matthew Ellis has been nominated for a national award for his work on improving partnerships in healthcare in Staffordshire.

The representative for Lichfield Rural East will find out in the coming weeks whether he has won the Local Government Information Unit award.

He was shortlisted after his efforts to bring NHS, healthcare and social care organisations closer together as part of his cabinet role on Staffordshire County Council.
