An historic Lichfield firm is set to celebrate 30 years in the city with a series of events.
As well as marking the milestone with a special sale which will see ten per cent of the proceeds going to the We Love Lichfield fund.
Arthur Price was the first company to locate to the Britannia Industrial Estate, named by current CEO Simon’s father in April 1982 and to start the celebrations they want to offer 30 local organisations the chance to find out more about cutlery via a series of talks by Simon Price.
Simon has, for many years, staged informal presentations to regional voluntary and social groups including Round Table, Probus and various church organisations. They have proved to be a great success and topics have included the history of Arthur Price, We Love Lichfield and in 2012, Simon is able, on the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic to talk about the company supplying the ill-fated luxury liner’s first class restaurants.
The presentations are free and refreshments are provided. All you have to do is call Bev Shepherd on 01543 267324 and book a date and time.
Lots of other activities are planned and details will be revealed soon but Arthur Price can reveal a special sale between April 13 and 14 at the Factory Shop with 10% of all proceeds going to the We Love Lichfield fund.
Simon Price, Chief Executive of Arthur Price said: “I remember my father moving the company to Lichfield and Arthur Price becoming the first firm on the Britannia Industrial Estate.
“This is going to be a great year for the UK with the Queen’s Jubilee and the Olympics and Arthur Price is going to have its own small celebration. As an ex-Sheriff of the city and patron of the We Love Lichfield fund I have a great passion for Lichfield and I want to spend some of my time this year chatting about my passion for utlery, with some of its citizens.”
