Chasetown FC facing crunch clash at Kendal Town

Mar 30, 2012 by Ross

Chasetown FC will be desperate to avoid falling deeper into the relegation mire when they travel to Kendal Town.

The Scholars slipped into the drop zone on goal difference with a defeat against fellow strugglers Buxton last time out.

But with bottom side Burscough cut adrift, Chris Brindley’s men are one of six teams separated by four points who are trying to avoid filling one of the other three relegation berths.

The Scholars will be desperate for a repeat of the victory in their home fixture against Kendal earlier this season.

Chasetown will be further boosted by the fact that their hosts, who feature former Football League players Sean Gregan and Marc Joseph, have not won in five games and were thumped 4-1 in their last outing at Bradford Park avenue.

Kick-off at Kendal is 3pm tomorrow (March 31).
