As part of the celebrations, visitors to the Arthur Price factory shop on Britannia Way on April 13 and 14 can enjoy a glass of bucks fizz and nibbles between 12noon and 4pm with ten per cent of all sales during the weekend going to the We Love Lichfield fund.

Simon Price, chief executive of Arthur Price will be serving in the factory shop throughout the weekend and hopes, as its patron, to raise significant funds for the fund.

“I remember my father moving the company to Lichfield and Arthur Price becoming the first firm on the Britannia Industrial Estate,” he said. “This is going to be a great year for the UK with the Queen’s Jubilee and the Olympics and Arthur Price is going to have its own small celebration.

“As an ex-Sheriff of the city and patron of the We Love Lichfield fund I have a great passion for Lichfield and I want to spend some as much of my time this year raising funds for charities and organisations in the District starting with our 30th birthday party.”
