An event in Staffordshire is offering Lichfield and Burntwood residents the chance to find out more about keeping livestock.
Farm Animals in Your Back Garden will provide advice and guidance to people interested in keeping poultry, goats or pigs in their back garden or in residential areas.
The event will also give people a chance to ask questions and receive free advice on keeping farm animals.
Staffordshire County Council’s animal health team, working in partnership with East Staffordshire Borough Council, Tamworth Borough Council and Lichfield District Council has organised the event on May 3 at 7pm at the Royal British Legion Club on Rykneld Street in Alrewas.
Cllr Pat Corfield said: “The animal health team has done some groundbreaking work in developing this unique workshop and the previous one in Stafford was a real success.
“People considering keeping livestock needs to ensure they have the welfare of the animals foremost in their minds.
“Anyone who has an interest in animal health and welfare or is thinking about becoming more self-sufficient should come along to this event.”
