A Lichfield pension specialist is offering free workshops to help local businesses deal with new legislation.

The new rules will mean that all employers will have to automatically enrol their eligible employees into a qualifying workplace pension scheme.

And Gareth Reynolds, who has an office on Bore Street in Lichfield city centre, believes businesses need to be aware of what the changes will mean to them.

“This will obviously affect all businesses irrespective of size, with some companies not contributing to current employee arrangements,” he said. “Therefore this will be a new commitment at an already tough time for local employers.

“The worry is that some employers are not aware or have played down the effect this will have for all firms.”

Gareth’s one-hour presentation will look at the effect the pension reforms could have on businesses and to discuss various ways in which to ensure that they are fully compliant.

“We can then also discuss whether their existing workplace pensions are adequate enough to meet the new criteria and approximate amounts they will need to contribute based on their current workforce,” Gareth said.
