Seasonal jobs are being offered at a theme park near Lichfield.

The annual recruitment drive for the 2014 season is set to begin at Drayton Manor Theme Park ahead of its reopening for the summer season on March 29.

The attraction says it will be offering flexible working hours this year to cater for a wider range of potential applicants, including parents, students and the semi-retired.

Colin Bryan, group managing director, said: “The people we recruit will play a vital role in ensuring that our visitors experience the best possible day out. That’s why we are on the lookout for enthusiastic people who thrive on interacting with the public.

“This year, we felt it was important to offer a more flexible approach to working hours so that we can help anyone wanting to take a flexible position but who may have struggled to find a suitable role.

“The response to last year’s recruitment drive was incredible, with over 1,200 people applying, that’s over eight applicants for every job. It’s fantastic that so many people want to become part of the Drayton Manor family and we look forward to our newest recruits joining the family business.”
