Chasetown FC still hoping to have a say in the play-off race

Chasetown FC will be desperate to keep putting pressure on the leading pack despite a play-off berth seeming to be beyond their reach.

The Scholars’ lengthy unbeaten league run was ended by Leek Town in midweek, leaving them with an almost impossible task if they hope to make the extended season.

But Craig Harris will be keen to ensure that with a cup final around the corner, Chasetown don’t let their season drift.

And although they are unlikely to make the play-offs themselves with a 14-point gap and only seven games remaining, they could have a big say on who does make it.

Fourth-place Mickleover Sports will provide the opposition tomorrow (March 22) as they welcome The Scholars.

Kick-off is at 3pm.
