A Lichfield mum has raised more than £500 for charity after completing the Manchester Marathon.

Alice Walsh took on the challenge after reading about the fundraising efforts of Nether Stowe student Chelsey Dixon.

The pair teamed up to collect money for the Teenage Cancer Trust after Chelsey’s own battle with Sarcoma – a type of muscle cancer.

And Alice’s time of four hours and 21 minutes has helped hit the £500 mark.

Money can still be donated via their online giving page.
