Lichfield cycling group to head for the National Memorial Arboretum

The National Memorial Arboretum will be the destination for the latest in a series of group bike rides in Lichfield.

The Cycle Rides For All will head to the Alrewas site on April 27, following a popular event which saw 25 riders head for Fisherwick Lakes last month.

The 15 mile ride to the Arboretum is suitable for most people, although beginners might find it challenging.

Lichfield District Councillor Andy Smith said: “We’re always keen to encourage more people to get on their bikes and take part in this healthy and fun activity and so are pleased to be working in partnership to offer these monthly cycle rides.

“They are a great way for people to discover good cycle routes, meet new people, and have an enjoyable day out.”

People wanting to take part need to bring their bikes to Freedom Cycles at 10am on April 27. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
