His visit came after two days of media interviews promoting the bid to get the Burntwood youngster’s fundraising total past £1million.

The target was achieved and now the #thumbsupforStephen campaign has been drawn up by the Manchester comic to hit a new £2million target.

“Amazing that Stephen is up and chatting after his brush with death,” Jason tweeted.

“He’s so happy that we are close to £2million.”

People are being asked to post a selfie of themselves giving a thumbs up on Facebook and Twitter, together with the link to Stephen’s JustGiving page.
