Supporters of the Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park have been thanked for helping to keep the event free.

This year’s musical showcase will take place on September 6 and feature the City of Lichfield Concert Band and The British Police Symphony Orchestra. There will also be solos from Claire Prewer and Jane Stevenson.

Lichfield District Councillor Andy Smith said: “Lichfield Proms is a fantastic way to celebrate the end of the summer as a community – but it can only happen with the generous sponsorship of the many local businesses and organisations that back this ever popular event, and we thank them all for their support.”

Now in its sixteenth year, the event will be brought to an end with a fireworks display.
